It is after 2 am Toronto time. It is the second night that I need to be up very early in the morning and I cannot sit still, let alone fall asleep! The excitement that usually hits me on the way to the Airport has hit me like a truck… More than a week early! I can’t quite call it excitement, because it is more than that. I have traveled to some very exotic destinations, anticipating some fantastic photos, but this is unlike any expedition I have embarked on. Not only am I expecting some amazing new work, I will be experiencing a lifelong dream. A real life African Safari!

A lot of you know that  Thailand has been my favourite destination to photograph. The stunning natural beauty, vibrant culture and exotic beaches. I sometimes ask myself, “will I ever find a place more beautiful”? That strong belief is put into question knowing where I am bound for next. 8 countries through the heart of Africa, where most tourists don’t dare venture, not a creature comfort for thousands of miles! Yeah, I think I may give Thailand a run for its money.

I do like to think that I have not seen the best the Earth has to offer, and I hope that you will enjoy seeing it through my eyes. Now, I am off to counting Zebras, umm, I mean Sheep.
