Our first view from the Okavango Delta was a majestic one. 1,000 feet above the tributaries and grazing elephants, we got the bird’s eye view of the entire area. You get a true appreciation of the vastness of this green oasis in the middle of the Kalahari.  The title of this entry does not even begin to describe the daredevil we had as a pilot. Alberto literally banked and dove, pulling what felt like five G’s every time he saw a giraffe. Someone forgot to tell him that we were only five feet from them a few days earlier.  Holding my lunch in, I snapped away at the beautiful sunset and a unique angle of the abundant wildlife below.

When our Cessna 206 landed at Maun Airport, I wanted to kiss the ground. I now know why I am a photographer and not an Air Force fighter pilot.
