I leave in two days and I still don”t know the answer to that question!  This next expedition spans across four continents, over 20 countries and almost every time zone on Earth. I will be above and below the equator on over 30 flights, travelling more than one hundred thousand kilometres. That is over a quarter of the way to the moon or more than twice around the world at the equator. Can anyone say “Air Miles”???  The truth is, I like to travel as light as possible with the exception of my camera bag. I am bringing enough technology and lenses with me to open a small store.  Many of these flights are on small aircraft, so I have a check-in bag limit of 20kg. This means I need to have a 20kg max for the entire trip. Does this complicate things? Hmmm, maybe a little!  This is my third major photo expedition, so I have learned a lot. This has allowed me to stretch the limits for this next one to bring you some of the most fantastic imagery yet. What”s in store over the next four months will be hard to believe. I can”t even believe some of the places I am going to!  As you can see from the image below, my carry-on bag will be a little heavy to say the least! The theme of this packing job has been memory overkill. In addition to all of the glass and electronics, I have over 1.5 terabytes of storage coming along for the ride! It includes two iPods, two iPhones, a portable hard drive, a Netbook and enough memory cards to choke a wood chipper. All this technology has to be powered and connected, but I didn”t have enough room in the frame to add all of the chargers, cables and adapters.  I think you get the picture, I am going through a lot to bring you the best images on this expedition. In about 2 days, an Airbus A380 will be leaving Pearson International Airport carrying me on an adventure that will be almost impossible to surpass. I hope you will follow me as I take you to some of the world”s most exotic and remote locations through my words and my lens.  Sit down and strap in… Here we go!
