In my entire life I have never seen a landscape so flat. Some areas had nothing but grass for as far as you could see. It’s hard to believe that all of the lions and hyenas can sneak up on anything in such a wide open space. Whatever they are doing seems to be working, they are here in big numbers! Off in the distance, I spotted a number of zebra running for their lives, but I could not make out the aggressor. Whatever it was had spooked the heard into a serious frenzy. Either way, it was amazing being there to witness it firsthand.  When I got back to my tent, I thought the adventure for the day was over, but I was wrong. It was just about to begin. The sounds that I heard in the distance at Etosha National Park were nothing short of amazing. But when the Lions and Hyenas started howling and roaring this time, they sounded like they were right outside! Then, when I woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, I unzipped the tent only to find myself face to face with a Wildebeest grazing ten feet from my tent!  You can’t pay for that kind of experience!
